We've just created a preliminary Facebook page so this post is going to double as a test. We've set it up so that all our posts on the website are automagically cross posted on Facebook too. We'll officially launch the Facebook page in a week or two once we're sure everything is working properly.

Also, we've been busy working on a whole bunch of goodies for some of our clients, hopefully some of which we'll be able to share publicly at a later date.

In the meantime, wow is it hot! The car is reading 43 degrees today, which seems a bit high to be believable, but still... it is undeniably boiling!

Here's some quick and simple reminders to stay cool in the heat:

1. During the day, keep curtains closed, keep internal doors open.

2. During the night, keep windows open to allow cool air to enter the house.

3. Use cotton bedding and cotton clothing.

4. Put a large bowl of ice in front of a fan for your own home made air conditioning.

5. Consider installing insulated window films on your house windows (similar to the tints you get for your car). They cut out a lot of the radiated heat and will help save on your air conditioning bill.

6. Get a hot water bottle and fill it with ice water. Works great as a heat sink!

7. Take lots of showers to cool your body down.

8. Drink lots of water to rehydrate.

9. Turn off anything you don't need that generates heat. This includes lights, TV's, computers and so on. All those appliances can add up.

10. An alternative to the hot water bottle idea, is to fill a sock with rice, stick it in the freezer for half an hour or so and use that as a cold compress instead.

So that's it for now, stay frosty everyone!
